If you haven't tried this place... you must. It seems very unassuming on the exterior but the food is exceptionally fresh, delicious, and generous. I recommend you order what they call Bette's Box Lunch. It's the best value. [It includes what they call an Upcake and they have so many flavor choices you'll have a hard time deciding which is your favorite] Staff is super friendly and service is quick. Love Love Love this place!

Located in Malvern, PA, this little franchise restaurant is a gold mine tucked in a little strip mall who's character and southern charm is so big that they have to have an outside seating area. The food was wonderful, the employees went out of their way to please us, and the story behind the business makes you want to come back again and again. I ordered the Bette's Boxed Lunch with the roast beef and provolone sandwich, on Sally Lunn bread. (Picture a hamburger bun, sheet cake style, cut in triangles.) . It comes with a deviled egg, and I chose the potato salad for my side, which was topped with a sweet pickle, and the peach "upcake" for my dessert. Washed the whole thing down with a Coca-Cola, and I was stuffed to the gills. I grew up loving PA Dutch cooking, but this southern stuff is a close second. "Momma wisely taught her daughters at an early age to learn to bake, knowing they'd need more than good looks to get them a husband". Love that!

Fantastic new discovery for me. Wanted to grab lunch after a meeting before I drive to the airport to pick up someone. This place is some serious homespun southern comfort. Boxed Lunches, Pimento Cheese Sandwiches, Deviled Eggs, "Upcakes" and fresh baked bread and rolls. I was in heaven. Here you order and pay at the counter and they call your name. Plenty of self serve seating or take your goodies home. I ordered the Thanksgiving Dinner Sandwich Box Lunch. House Roasted Turkey, Stuffing, Whole Cranberry Sauce and mayo on house baked Sally Lunn Roll. Comes with a choice of sides, deviled egg and an Upcake. This meal was simply fantastic! Oh...Yes....The Upcakes are tender, moist upside down cupcakes iced on the sides and bottom....MORE ICING PER CAKE! Southern geniuses at Dixie Picnic. Bought an assorted half dozen Upcakes and a warm loaf of house made multi grain bread to take home. I cannot wait to come back.

I ordered lunch for my office staff and they loved it! Great catering service. Very fresh sandwiches all neatly prepared and ready for pick up even a bit early before the store opened. Very well organized place and excellent service. Very helpful!

My friends and I where out shopping and looking for a place to eat we noticed this place across from QVC outlet n oh boy are we glad we walked in great food and friendly people came back 3 times already. Would of been 4 but didn't know they where closed on Sundays. Great place n food while worth the stop, it was our best find. Ruby :-)

The restaurant was phenomenal. We just passed through the area and stopped in. I got the box lunch with upcake. I’ve never heard of an upcake but it is delicious. My husband got the pulled pork and said it’s easily one of the best he’s had. And he gets them a lot. The staff are working hard and doing a great job. Thank you.

Absolutely fabulous option for large gatherings when everyone wants something different. Great selection to choose from and very clear directions in how to order for a group in advance. They were easy to pick up and distribute. Everyone was please with their selections. Their upcakes are amazing! I ordered the carrot cake and it was delicious. Highly recommend for safe, easy and tasty meals for a group.
